CFM update
Added two new-ish projects to the Cabin fever website. The original idea was keep it offline until the launch of the redesign, but as I realized that there won’t be any time to work on that for a couple of months, I made the site available again.
Bloodstorm axe
Another fun project from a couple of months ago – guitar virtuoso and Arch Enemy head honcho Michael Amott asked me to modify one of the images I created for their last album “Rise of the tyrant” for his new Dean signature guitar, suitably entitled “Tyrant bloodstorm”.
Another tattoo…
Another tattoo made from one of my old pieces, namely the My blood is fire cover that I made a few years ago.
Ace tattoo artist Stefano Alcantara did the work, and the proud owner is Alvaro Santillana.
Lead to gold
Alchemy is a new app (still in Alpha release) for quick sketching and no-turning-back idea generation. It’s all very spontaneous; no undo, no zoom, limited array of tools with a large degree of randomness to them – all to facilitate chaotic outbursts of ideas rather then meticulous fine tuning.
It’s perfect for quickly generating shapes and rough compositions for later fine-tuning in Photoshop or Painter, but the mirror and gradient modules also makes it rewarding to create finished images. As with many other things, the inherent limitations become strengths.

Due to some server issues, I had to close down the page for a while, and I ended up deciding to start from scratch with a new database. It’s not like there was anything of super importance on the old site, but I’ll re-post some of the material just to get some content here.
